IRANI TROPHY (sports association)

           Irani Trophy is known as MasterCard Irani Trophy due to sponsorship reasons. 

    The tournament was conceived during the 1959-60 session to mark the completion of 25 years of the Ranji Trophy Championship and was named after the late BCCI President Zal R Irani who was associated with the BCCI from its inception in 1928 till his death in 1970.

   It is the first class tournament organised by the Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI). This tournament is played annually between the winners of the Ranji Trophy and rest of India Cricket team. The rest of India team includes players from Ranji teams of various States except players of Ranji Trophy winner of that session.

      The first match of the series was played between Bombay and the Rest of India team at the Ferozshah Kotla Ground in Delhi from March 18 to 20, 1960. Though the match was drawn, Bombay were declared winners by virtue of having gained the first innings lead.

        For the first few years, it was played towards the end of the season. Realizing the importance of the fixture, the BCCI moved it to the beginning of the season, and from 1965–66 to 2012–13, it was traditionally heralded the start of the new domestic season. In 2013, it was moved to a date immediately after the Ranji Trophy final, resulting in there being two Irani Cup matches the 2012/13 season. The game has since remained at the end of the season, and is played shortly after the Ranji Trophy final.

         In 2022, for the first time in the history of the Irani Trophy, BCCI decided to organise two seasons of the tournament back-to-back (the 2019-20 and 2022-23 trophies), with the matches to be played at Rajkot and Indore respectively.

       In March 2020, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that all domestic cricket in India was suspended due to coronavirus, including the 2019–20 Irani Cup. However, the cancelled match was played as an opening match of this season from 1 to 5 October, with the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy winners Saurashtra playing against a Rest of India team.

Second Test : India and Australia

                      In second test match of India and Australia. Australia won the toss and elected to bet first and the score 263 in their first inning . Khwaja is a top scorer of their side. He score 81 with 12 fours and one six. Handscomb also did  good contributions with 72. From Indian side  Mohammed Shami take 4 wickets Ashwin and Jadeja each take 3 wickets. With the end of the first day  India score 21/0 Rohit and Rahul were playing on 13 and 4. In second day India did not do well and its main batsman goes very soon with very low score .Four  Batsman out only on just 66 runs. At the end of the day Indian team all out at 262. Australia lose its first wicket very soon and at the end of the day they score  61/1. 

       Test match 3rd day is completely in favour of Indian spinner bowlers they completely destroyed Australian strong batting lineup. Australia is all out in just 31.1 overs  in just 113 runs. Ravindra Jadeja takes Sevan wickets and Ravi Chandra Ashwin three wickets. This is the first time after a long time that a bowler in test cricket clean bold 5 batsman this was previously happened in 2002 when Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar clean bold 5 batsman and other incident was happened in 1992 Indian spinner bowler Anil Kumble Bold 5 batsman so this is a long time later this incident happened again in this test match and this time also Indian bowler who did it. At the publishing of this article India score 14 runs and lose its  one wicket. KL Rahul is one more time out in just one run score. India win the second test against Australia by six wickets. All batsman plays some important knock accept Rahul and manage to complete the target 114 runs. Srikar Bharat wicketkeeper batsman played small but very important knock at the end of the match he score 23 runs with three important fours and one big sixes. India take lead of 2-0 in the series. One more time Ravindra Jadeja did exceptionally splendid performance in this match he get Man of the match and take 7 wickets in second ining. He takes 3 wickets in first inning so in entire match he takes 10 wickets.

IND vs NZ 2nd T20I

SKY helps IND edge past valiant NZ, level series 1-1

New Zealand managed to drag the match down to the second last ball despite the fact that they were defending just 100 runs. 

SKY 26 of just 31 balls  is a best inning of any batsman in this type of critical situation. Sky deserve to become a man of the match. Of course this is a very small Target game but the interesting thing in this game is that it goes in the last over and second last ball of the over. Captain Pandya will definitely be happy for this when because this is the must win game for India and India did it. Of course the pitch is not supporting for batsman but Indian opener need to do some more effort to make T20 opening partnership better than past otherwise captain Pandya Neet to use some other option in the next game. Prithvi Shaw should we try in the next game he did good in Ranji Trophy.

Rahul Tripathi need to  some consistency in coming games otherwise he will not get more chance in this strong Indian team because there are so many good options are available.

New Zealand of course play very good in the previous game but today was not for its time. We know that which is not supporting batsman but New Zealand players can do some more effort and that can manage at least 140 to 145 it will be a good total for them but the couldn't do it but it give benefit to India and Indian bowler all out New Zealand team on 99 score.

Hello and welcome to the India vs New Zealand 2nd T20I match at the Lucknow Stadium (Ekana Sports City). Hardik Pandya's India in a do-or-die contest against New Zealand after losing the first match of the series.New Zealand are surely looking for revenge after getting clean swept in the ODI series. India need to make a good comeback in the 2nd T20 and level the 3-match series 1-1. The last T20I will take place in Ahmedabad but it could be played for pride if India lose the Lucknow match today.

            The senior players Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav will need to step up. SKY has been in good form, he was unlucky to get out after getting a good start. But Hardik, the captain as well as batter, need to show good form. 

Shubman Gill scored just 7 in the first T20I as he continues to perform poorly in the shortest format of the game despite his brilliant run in ODIs. T20s are hard to crack for Gill it seems. Will Shaw take his place in tonight's match? Head coach Rahul Dravid is a big Shaw fan but Hardik Pandya has said that Gill is team's first-choice opener in T20Is.

         Team India are in a must win situation heading into the second T20I match of the 3-match series if they want to stay alive in the competition. The number 3 batter of India was disappointing in the first match against New Zealand as he got out on duck after playing six balls. India were chasing a total of 177 when Tripathi fell short from his expectations after Ishan Kishan's early dismissal. Arshdeep Singh had a forgettable day in the first T20I between India and New Zealand. However, captain Hardik Pandya and coach Rahul Dravid are likely to trust the death-over specialist pacer.

         Wasim Jaffer suggests that Umran Malik should be dropped from the Playing XI in the second T20I against New Zealand. He suggests Prithvi Shaw or Jitest Sharma should come in the lineup as an extra batter.

        Will Ishan Kishan retain his place or Prithvi Shaw will get a chance to play in the second T20I match against New Zealand. Hardik Pandya informed that Shaw will have to wait for his chance in this series but Kishan's performance in the first game was not promising. 

         Sundar doing beautiful things on field. He picked up 2 for just 22 from his four overs and then smashed 50 off just 28 balls that included 5 fours and 3 sixes to keep India in game. Washington Sundar is showing maturity with both bat and ball and can soon become irreplaceable in the T20Is at least. He needs to continue showing the same hunger.

       After the ICC T20 World Cup last year, Hardik Pandya has been the Team India captain in the format. He has led the team to wins in New Zealand, and against Sri Lanka at home. But India have not dominated these series by any stretch of imagination. At times, especially in chases, one has felt the absence of experience and maybe Rohit and Kohli would have made things far easier. Kohli especially is a solid middle order bat and helps team in chases. But selectors seemed to have moved past them and are looking to build a younger squad for the next World Cup and these youngsters will take time to get used to new roles. 

              Kane Williamson recently stepped down as the T20I skipper of New Zealand after the T20 World Cup 2022. New Zealand are not only missing Williamson but also Trent Boult, Tim Southee.

India captain Hardik Pandya was surprised by the way the Ranchi pitch behaved in the T20I series opener against New Zealand on Friday. The pitch offered sharp grip and turn to slower bowlers throughout the game, with the dew factor not making much of an impact in the second innings. Chasing 177, India could manage only 155 for 9, as New Zealand won their first game of the tour.

Washington wasn't too critical of the pitch and suggested that the way it played was just an aberration. "I think it was just a one-off game," he said at the post-match press conference. "I don't think that just because it was spinning so much, we have to address anything. Just that one-off game. Had we got off to a flier or even a better start, things would've been much different. Obviously, it did spin, and you will see such wickets here and there. Obviously, people over here and players in our team have played on such wickets in the IPL and even in the Indian team. So, just that one-off game where certain things didn't go our way and eventually, we couldn't cross the line. They bowled well and they played with three spinners and even their seamers bowled very well."
