Gujarat Titans will aim to sustain their winning streak as they face a struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. With the SRH batters experiencing a form slump, GT will seek their third consecutive win following substantial victories against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Hyderabad find themselves at a critical point, as their attacking batting strategy, which yielded 286 runs against Rajasthan Royals, has since stagnated, leading to underwhelming scores of 190, 163, and 120 in their last three matches against Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders,
respectively. Additionally, their bowling has been lackluster, with Pat Cummins, Mohammed Shami, Harshal Patel, and Adam Zampa all failing to restrict runs effectively.
The Titans, meanwhile, are at a stark contrast to SRH, starting the league with a loss and then ended up winning both their last 2 matches. With Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan looking in good form, the only concern for the Titans will be the fact that captain Shubamn Gill has failed to convert his starts into big scores.
Having found themselves at the bottom of the pile, Pat Cummins' SunRisers Hyderabad will look to rebound when they meet an in-form Gujarat Titans in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Even batting beauties haven’t helped the vaunted SRH batting order in recent games as their brand of unchained aggression fell flat in three successive matches against LSG, DC and Kolkata Knight Riders. Hyderabad offers another chance to reset, but GT’s stacked bowling line-up will offer a stern challenge.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad usually has a pitch that favors batters. A flat pitch is expected in Hyderabad, which will be beneficial for batters, especially SRH's strong lineup. In the season's first match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH batters scored 286/6 before comfortably defeating the Rajasthan Royals, despite RR batters scoring 242/6 in 20 overs. However, SRH has struggled to score such high totals in the league and at the ground since then, with Lucknow Super Giants successfully chasing a 191-run total in the second match.
