Match Analysis & Post-Match Talk
Player of the Match – Mohammed Shami (2/9): “We are very happy because we had lost the previous match at home, so it was very important for us to win. Once you get that start, the winning momentum continues. If you like cricket, it's important to be in good rhythm.”
Rishabh Pant | LSG Captain: “Definitely it's a big plus when you can stay till the end and finish the match. Shami bhai, Avesh, Rathi, everyone contributed really well. What ends well is all well. I just let my bat do the talking.”
Aiden Markram: “It was nice to be back up top. The wicket gradually got better throughout the game. Important that we had a decent powerplay. Familiarity with Mitch Marsh helps.”
Ishan Kishan | SRH Captain: “Total was not enough on the board. I appreciate Klaasen and Nitish for taking the total deep. We need to work on batting – losing early wickets makes it easier for the opposition. Bowlers fought well to take it to the last over.”
Turning Point: SRH were 26/4 inside 7 overs. Klaasen & Reddy added 116 runs but after their dismissals in the 18th over, SRH could only manage 156. LSG lost regular wickets but Pant's unbeaten 68 anchored the chase, finishing with a boundary in the final over.
